Writing and producing dance music in “Less Than Ten” running processes? Indeed this sounds a little out of the norm especially for modern Digital Audio Workstation abilities, but where have the ideas gone? Energy and ideas are strengths and not having limitless options of sound is key to strong character-full music.

At One lands heavy with La Musica

Ever progressing with his sound, ARCo. & Yoruba Records regular At One slaps an intense and catchy head-nodder on us in the form of La Musica. Lovingly produced layers of lush leads and spiritual vocal drops would allow this perfect sound-scape to do well as an ambient ensemble alone, but with this guy behind the music, we will always be lavished with the heaviest and most solid of beats.

In typical At One style this storm of beats thunder throughout and they hold a groove that is incredibly hip shaking. This is a very different kind of house music and this is At One at his finest. An additional dub for La Musica lightens up the vibe on the release with doubled melodies and top-end percussion to give this release a well-polished finish.

Less Than Ten, Building its ranks.

Elise – Poseidon (Vinyl Out Now)

Information:

A while in the making, an incredible set of reworks of this beautifully delivered song are finally here! ‘Elise’ presents us with the awesomeness of ‘Poseidon’.

This package has been carefully reworked by some of the dance music industry’s prime producers, and each remix sings it’s own love song. ‘Atjazz’ has spent a whole year ‘on and off’ making sure his remix delivers something new, with a nod to his next full length album project this new wave of glossy soul music oozes passion and melts into Elise’s perfectly delivered vocals, a match made in heaven. ‘At One’, known for his thunderous music has lightened up his musicality to give us a solid yet respectful remix which pushes the vocal smoothly along. ‘Yoruba Records’ head man ‘Osunlade’ has once again cleared the table with his signature sound in the form of the ‘Yoruba Soul Mix’ which brings to our ears everything we love about his sound, working again in perfect harmony with Elise’s offering to the ancient gods. ARCo.’s own ‘Si Tew’ bumps his beats up in two forms, his ‘Late Night Remix’ for a softer approach and his straight up “Si Tew Remix” for the vinyl release which is set to help us click our heels across the dance-floor.

The digital release brings with it a heap of exclusives, the first in the form of the ‘Simbad Suite’ which takes Elise’s heartfelt vocal and swamps it with pads that pull strongly on those heartstrings. The beats are as tight as is to be expected from the quirky East London producer but the bar is raised even further when the sub drops late in the mix. ‘The Layabouts’ also join this story with a much wider scope on their rework, melodic and progressive, both the vocal mix & Instrumental drive through verses, middle eights & choruses with awesome power. Last up, but definitely not least is the apple bobbing ‘Leaked Wisdom Dub’, a fellow video game music producer of Martin Atjazz’s from back in the day, this guys really drives this vocal out by chopping and repeating it to create a subby garage banger.

Overall this package has something for everyone and will fit all tastes of dance music from tech-house to soul and everything in between.

At One – African Healing Dance feat. Wyoma (Atjazz Remixes)

[soundcloud id=’1994823′ autoPlay=’true’ format=’set’]

In less than 1 week this wonderful song has jammed itself into pole position on the one and only Traxsource.com. Check it out, Music to your ears, Literally!

If you can talk you can sing, If you can walk you can dance” – Wyoma

This proverbial & addictive song is responsible for bringing to our ears the most powerful & positive message in dance music over the last few months. We now bring the message back to earth with an almighty bump in the form of the “Atjazz Remixes”.

Atjazz has embodied Wyoma’s words of wisdom, taken the original At One sound, and rolled out two beautiful remixes; both of which are set to move your feet. With trademark Afro-House beats & sublime sequences, Martin has created something that is literally music to your ears.  This house workout delivers sound which is more than the sum of its parts, as Atjazz has once again ‘given his heart to hold the soul’.  This package is also loaded with a jazz licked Astro Remix for those of you who like it a little more choppy, while it also retains its composure to set a new standard for today’s Broken Beat scene.  We’ve also included for the more spiritual minded a wonderful reprise of the original African Healing Dance – no beats, no fuss!

‘African dance healing’ is an awesome workout of percussion, beats, bass and vocals and is a wash with stylish & precise synth production. This latest outing for the UK’s ‘At One; is set for the main dance floor and is backed up by Wyoma’s beautiful words of wisdom, “Wyoma honors dance as a healing and spiritual endeavor”. This careful selection of lyrics really does make you think twice and make you wanna get up and use those feet you we’re given. African dance healing does what it says on the tin, already supported with incredible feedback by Atjazz. Accompanying this wonderful piece of writing is another well rounded piece of music entitled ‘Miti’, a straight down the line dance-floor bumper, with a twist on what people know as “Techy Afro House” ‘At One’ has really started for us a new direction in this genre & we are very proud to have this artist as part of the ARCo. family.

At One is a new age DJ/Producer with an old-skool kick, playing in and around the U.K’s capital city London on a regular basis, mainly spinning deep/soulful/afro house. Over the years At One concentrated on building strong networks and artist affiliations with the likes of Phil Asher, Sy Sez & Gavin Peters, Danny Native, Tayo Maronie, Matt Bandy, Neil Pierce, Dj 279, Cut Master Swift (DMC world champion), Plus many more.
The music At One produces has an interesting twist to it’s overall sound, whatever genre it is. At One encompasses the best from every area within the genres he produces within and places these influences into his music whatever style his productions may be. The At One sound is neither old nor new but something in it’s own space which lasts the test of time.

Wyoma is a performer and facilitator of African and healing dance, as well as a body/mind consultant. For over twenty-three years she has taught and conducted workshops in a wide range of contexts throughout the United States. She has also worked in Africa and New Zealand. Central to her approach is the transformative and organic nature of African Dance, and the recognition of our body’s own inherent wisdom. Wyoma honors dance as a healing and spiritual endeavor, and has become a creative force for transformation among her students, audiences, and associate performers.
