Jazzuelle

Jazzuelle’s music has a design of it’s own. Spiritual and imaginative.

Not at all what you would expect to be delivered by a young South Africa producer with his heart in dance music!.

Jazzuelle is a gentle and humble soul who dives to great depths where others fear to go. Inaugural EP is true artwork in it’s naked form, and with your eyes closed this wonderful music guarantees to create beautiful images for it is loaded with imagination. I for one ‘Martin Atjazz’ am seriously taken a back with this entire release and wanted to write about this awesome work myself as it has really touched my soul.

My choice cuts from the EP are Birth Of Venus, Dark Arts, and also Belverdere Café. All of the offerings on the EP are amazing but these three for my tastes really jumped out at me. You will find influences from far and wide within this collection and even fans of Steve Reich, Bonobo, Motorbass & J Dilla are going to love the diversity of this wonderful collection of songs.

“I’m very proud to have this record on my label, it’s not often once receives this amount of imagination in one hit” Atjazz

Jazzuelle

With deep-house having arguably becoming South Africa’s most popular urban music genre, it was only a matter of time before we’d start hearing more left-field abstractions by producers interested in exploring a broader perspective of the genre’s staple elements.

Jazzuelle is just such an artist, whose own take on deep-house is inflected with equal amounts of narcotic electronica and heavy jazz as it is with soul and groove – Red Bull Studios

Jazzuelle is the South African electronic music producer/dj, born in 14 February 1989 in Cape Town, South Africa, living in Johannesburg, where he started the independent record label Cityscope Recordings in 2010 has come a long way from humble beginnings to being welcomed by the revered Red Bull Music Academy

Following numerous stints in Cape Town, several features, singles and a self released EP on his own Cityscope Recordings, Thando’s gained a loyal fan-base and hard work payed off when he released on Germany’s Foliage Records “ The Archaic Rapture EP” in 2014

Jazzuelle was also picked up by the esteemed Red Bull Studios In 2013 which consequently led him to play a part in the renowned Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp which was held in Johannesburg’s Alex Theatre boasting 30 of the most talented, forward-thinking artists in South Africa like Okmalumkoolkat, Casper Nyovest, Fever Trails, Card On Spokes, Applesawc, Moonchild, Eve Rakow, Hlasko & more, following this, Thando’s headlined popular events such as RBMA Nights, Red Bull Studio Live Shows, Grietfest and Junta Movement. To opening for international acts like Sven Weisemann to sharing centre stage with a variation of artists like Black Coffee, Lazarusman, Vinny Da Vinci, Nuno Estevez, Miguel Migs, , C9ine, Trancemicsoul, Soulo Starr, Metro Ticket, Kat La Kat to mention a few
