TICKETS – Resident Advisor

After the overwhelming response to the first party, Atjazz is inviting some more friends and up-and-coming artists from his label Atjazz Record Company to join him in the booth; it’s certain to be a brilliant party.

This time Bristol-based house music legend Sean McCabe is bringing his own unique style of house, broken beat and nu-jazz.

The venue is the wonderful Artum which is situated within Birmingham’s Hockley Social Club. The room is designed with one thing in mind; hearing music at its best, so we couldn’t think of a better place to hold this party. This is a small and intimate event with VERY limited tickets so please don’t hang about, get them quickly to avoid disappointment.

Inkswel – Trippin’ (feat. Oliver Night)

The incredible INKSWEL Joins ARCo. with a stunning 14 song album entitled ASTRAL LOVE. We bring you his first slice of the pie in the form of TRIPPIN’ which features the awesome vocal-tones of OLIVER NIGHT who brings his rhythmic soul to the table. Drifting in-between nu-soul & house this really does have the funk we all need!

Inskwel’s beat production and sample-bending is something you’ll know from his previous albums on BBE / SONAR KOLLEKTIV / OYE RECORDS BERLIN and his superb EPs with BOOGIE ANGST / RUSH HOUR to name just a few labels he has loaded up with his music. This single & full album is a definite continuation of his exploration of sound.

We are overjoyed to be representing Julian ‘Inskwel’ Habib and his amazing team of contributors on this brilliant album.

Classic Music From The RAH Band

We thought we would share this wonderful classic song from The RAH Band just for the heck of it!…

“Clouds Across the Moon” is a song written by Richard Anthony Hewson. It was released as a single in March 1985 on his studio group the RAH Band’s album Mystery. The single reached the top 10 of the singles charts in the UK, The Netherlands and Sweden. The vocals were performed by Hewson’s wife Liz

The smell of summer is in the air… Perfumed Garden is back. The RAH Band

We at Atjazz Record Company are once again very pleased to have slapped our palms on a real gem here in the jazz funk classic “Perfumed Garden” by The RAH Band, Richard Anthony Hewson’s project formed back in 1977. After his previous collaboration with Martin Atjazz on 2010’s “Messages From The Stars”, Richard has graciously allowed this wonderful boogie cut into the ARCo. catalogue. Good news for you fans!

The RAH Band’s Back2Bass remix certainly delivers bass in spades, which when added to an updated track with the original sugary vocal, presents a wholly 21st century re-imagining by the creator himself.

Then our very own Atjazz steps up and delivers an unexpected and thoroughly enjoyable Brazilian tinged element to take the original track in a different direction, and analogue all the way to boot. The remix retains all the elements of the original but lifts us up through the clouds and into a blissful dream of classy modern soul. As a special treat the instrumental version of this smooth, uplifting dub is also included.

And of course we couldn’t release these remixes without including the original version to remind us all that great music transcends time. This is truly bliss.
