Q1: You’re?

A creative bubble inhabitant, chief bucket list crosser-offer with my debut album dropping 2024, a maestro of melodies for you delightful folks, a collaboration connoisseur, always remixing, a perpetual learner, a dreamer of expensive synths I can’t afford, a dad, a hubby, and a full-time job juggler. Oh, and I also go by the name, Peacey. A pleasure to make your acquaintance! “inhales dramatically”

Q2: When?

I may be as time-starved as a dessert buffet at a weight loss convention, and finding a spare moment might be like hunting for treasure in a sandcastle. But when it comes to my friends and musical family, consider this the golden hour – I’m all ears!

Q3: Why? 

Because I love what I do and I do what I love. Happiness is my currency.

Q4: Watching? 

The never ending spinning wheel of death on my studio computer, Youtube cat videos, binging Prime like it’s an Olympic sport, getting lost in mind-bending documentaries, and enjoying a zillion comedy and sci-fi films when insomnia pays a visit.

However, of late, the new series of Frasier and really enjoying season 1 of “Bodies” on Netflix

Q5: Hearing?

Is still good in my 40’s, aside from the occasional tinnitus serenades it treats me to. It’s my way of adding a touch of avant-garde to my audio experience!

With the joking aside, creativity is my constant companion, I’m in a perpetual state of listening. When it comes to crafting music, I eagerly welcome the unexpected and pursue ideas with the daring spirit of a child in a toy shop.

Q6: Playing? 

The fool, aways. Ask my friends and wife and they will confirm this!

But seriously.. the music that grace the airwaves in my humble abode might surprise you. Even if it’s not a style or genre I’d showcase, I’ll find inspiration in the most unexpected sounds and that’s the beauty of it.

Q7: Loving?

My wife, children, friends and of course my beloved ARCo. family. without them, I am a shell.

….And the fact that I have my debut album dropping. Did I mention that already? :)

Xabier Garayalde: He’s 50% of KYODAI and 50% of WAGON COOKING, but solo, he’s 100% super producer!

This is a brand new project from Xabier or ‘Javi’, pronounced ‘Habi’, under his new guise ‘Mr OFFBeat’. It draws on his multi-instrumentalist talents and incorporates his brilliantly talented pops for saxophone backup.

‘Zezen’ is a colourful wash of styles from house and disco to jazz and broken beat, but it retains a solid musical core for those who like their dance-floor music a little more ‘chin rubby’. Javier is a true don, having been part of the scene for over 20 years and going strong.

Ruff and tough, as you’d be right to assume, SMBD’s coarse grooves form an unconventional, yet harmonious partnership with the spiritual chants of DWIGHT TRIBLE’S vocals. The result is a wonky deep-house tune that’s rather attractive in build. ATJAZZ contributes a deep, smooth, yet much more relaxing vibe, rounding off this already brilliant release with a sleek serving of modern soul.

Over the past ten years, South Africa’s ‘MPESHNYK’ has crafted his own unique style of reflective electronic music. This collection of tunes isn’t your usual fare, and nor does it follow any current trends. Superbly made and mixed down, this EP opens gently with an ambient landscape piece entitled ‘Infinite Consciousness’: lushness flows from the well-crafted pads and conjures up an array of images to set the tone.



This is then followed by the more upbeat ‘Levitation’: without the definitive stomp of the signature ‘kick drum’ you’d be fooled into thinking that this EP may belong more on the chill tip. Well, don’t be fooled, as tracks 3 and 4 are surely set to ‘bring it’ to the dance floor! ‘Broken’ and ‘Brink of Disaster’ are both testament to the wonderful growth of Mpeshnyk’s abilities where he throws these two brilliant chunks of talent onto the table, with impressive skill and great determination. This is certainly a man you should keep your eyes and ears on this year

You may remember a certain smash that dropped last year.  The deep melodic bass, coupled with a smooth, ethereal vocal that tickled your spine and got your head bobbing.  Kid Fonque & D-Malice showed a touch of class with last year’s release with Clara Hill:  All This Time.  Now we revisit this epic soundscape with a remix offering that will take the Atjazz Record Company into 2016 with a bang!

First up steps the boss, Martin Atjazz, with a smooth effort that carries all the hallmarks of his usual deep and moving mastery of his craft.  Building a world of sweeping notes and offbeat melodies around Clara Hill’s understated vocal, Atjazz sets us off in style.

Bringing a decidedly percussive feel to proceedings next is Boddhi Satva, whose driving beats and trademark Ancestral Soul vibe take us in a new direction.

Then finally arrives South African prodigy, Bruce Loko.  Loko is known for adding in unusual elements to his music and this is no different.  A rhythmic harp accompanies some otherworldy effects and popping string pulls to round off a sublime and intangible remix collection.

Martin Atjazz & Jullian Gomes have put together what is an incredible electronic dance album accompanied by some of the industries most sought after vocalists. An album born out of their love of music, this block of well-crafted work oozes honesty and forward thinking. Not being bogged down with industry demands. They have made an album that Martin describes as ‘us on a plate’. The styling behind this sonic masterpiece begins with an instrumental song entitled ‘Poor Man’, a song reflecting the hardships of surviving on making emotional and deep dance music. Then we’re straight into the vocal realm with ‘Philosophy’, this soulful slider with vocals performed by Osunlade outlines the difficulties in relationships within the music industry and further afield when people maybe not be sharing the same ‘Philosophy’. From soulful vocal drenched songs such as ‘Turn Back To You’ featuring house hero Robert Owens play through, we start to really get a grounded feel to what this album is about, ‘Two guys making music for the right reasons’. Dark and edgy songs like ‘White Rose’ & ‘Overshadowed’ seem to complete this technically polished album and whatever you like about house music, you’ll find something here for your taste. An incredible electronic body of work which tells an emotional story, of both Atjazz & Jullian Gomes’ lengthy journey through this musical jungle.

Introducing the brand new series of releases from Atjazz Record Company “Years Of The Abstract” boasts some of the worlds most technically abled electronic producers showcasing their sound across this very exciting release outlet.

First of which is the amazing sound of Mizgir hailing from Ukraine.

Sounding like his music has been beamed to us from another plant, Mizgir’s sound is more than a galactic space journey, as it is also very organic to the ear, what a pot of electronic gumbo this is!

With a nod to traditional Indian instruments seamlessly melding with amazing technical production accuracy, and layers of distant haunting vocal bites, this new sound is a long overdue breath of fresh air in this claustrophobic musical world. Surya being the leading song runs through at pace with delicate sub tones and impeccable sonic production, flowing like an unstoppable river it quickly becomes a real ear feast, with a perfect balance of sharp and smooth sound. Yu-Ras follows up with a more serious note, playing out its bumpy rhythms over a well-designed electronic field.
