Atjazz – Track 9 (Mix 1) – Almost there…

We ask, what comes next Atjazz?, You’ve teased us for a year releasing these singular Tracks, and now we wan’t to know, what is at the end of the journey?

“You’ll have to wait and see!” Atjazz

The penultimate original in this killer Track series from Atjazz. Track 9 (Mix 1) leaves a spiritual marker in place, deep and thoughtful yet persistent musical textures and booming house beats. It’s time to close your eyes and take in the music. Atjazz is almost at the end of Part 1 in this series, there a lot more to come as he stamps his assonant trademark on route.

Atjazz – Track 7 (Mix 1) The lucky number 7!

Seventh in his recent series, Atjazz strips it down to a minimal level using only analogue sound sources. Starting out barefoot, the track then unfolds to a blissful and dense peak before letting you drift through the final decent. Another no-nonsense dance-floor release from Martin Iveson aka Atjazz as he continues his musical journey through sound, stamping his assonant trademark on route.

Jullian Gomes – 1000 Memories (Incl. Osunlade, Kaytronik, Fred Everything & Atjazz Remixes!!)

This solid release includes four of the house scenes most respected names on remix duties. 1000 Memories is a firm favourite from Jullian’s debut album Late Dreamer and features the wonderful voice of Sio. The original is lush to say the least but is as to be expected backed up by Jullian’s low-swung groove.

Jullian’s wish list for potential remixers was a touch shocking but we managed to pull it out of the bag and the outcome is pure class. Yoruba Records main man Osunlade steps in with his trademark Yoruba Soul sound layering excellent synthesizer leads and rolling out his unmistakable beats that carry 1000 Memories on a true spiritual journey.

Kaytronik a man who is at the top of his production game brings a sonic masterpiece to the table his strictly solid Karizmaesque beats punch while his instrumentation takes the remix a little softer and warmer don’t worry he’s still chopping up vocals and dubbing things out in his usual DJ manner. Fred Everything goes in hard a man who just gives pure quality in all aspects of his work and this will only see you well as a firm fixture in your box real deep house for those who know it! Atjazz drops things into blank space with a Galaxy Aart Remix always inspired by his eldest Sons journey through life Martin always comes good to keep your ears very excited. A brilliant song reworked by the best. You cant go wrong here as there is a remix for every taste!

D-Malice – Phases OUT NOW!…

After spending his career popping up the hottest spots you can find in club-land, in-between running his own label DM Recordings and producing quality vibes with such talents as Kid Fonque, Jonny Miller and Rancido, please join us in welcoming back our good friend and collaborator – D-Malice.  Taking time out of his hectic schedule, and following up the release of the “All This Time” & “All This Time Remixes” with Kid Fonque, D-Malice has brought his skills to the fore again with solo ARCo debut offering: ‘Phases’.

We start with ‘#87’ and the mood is set instantly.  Kicking off with straight up beats and low melodic tones that evoke the feelings and groove of the legendary Lil’ Louis at his finest, this pumping masterpiece reaches through your body and into your hips, daring you not to dance.  We can promise you won’t be able to resist moving to this!

D-Malice (Black3)

Then D-Malice introduces his trademark low bass and deep afro-beats and steps up to the podium with ‘Phases’.  Taking all things musical to a more interesting pitch, with a soothing and smoothing soundscape that runs up and down your spine, D-Malice peppers an insistent and effortless melody over a thoroughly enjoyable dance-floor goto.

We then return to ‘Phases’ with a remix that is ‘Expressive’ in more than just name.  Stepping up another gear, we are welcomed to a realm of low range tones and light percussive touches that brings D-Malice’s musical odyssey to new heights and leaves us begging for more, as he usually does with his ever popular ‘Expressive Dubs’.

A few words from Atjazz “I have always been intrigued by the sounds of D-Malice, I’ve also seen him perform on a few occasions, and I have to put it out there that he is one of the best afro-house DJs I’ve seen play live. No tricks, just honest hard work, and you can hear it in his music, he cares and that is the first block in his wall of sound, which is standing very strong. Phases had to come out via ARCo., it really suits us down the ground, Techy in parts, afro of course & just very well crafted dance-music.”

Give a warm welcome to… Tomahawk Bang.

We at ARCo. are very proud to introduce the mysterious warrior of sound, Tomahawk Bang.

For Tomahawk Bang, music is “Himdag” or the “way of life.” As a native of Arizona’s Onk Akimel O’odham tribe; the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community, Tomahawk developed his relationship with music whilst participating in traditional ceremonies on his homeland. The deeply spiritual nature of his culture serves as one of the clearest influences and most pertinent characteristics of his music. In the world of Tomahawk Bang, the music was, is, and will always be an indigenous experience.

“What first gets you into something, that never goes away. The initial inspiration… it’s mind blowing. You never forget.” –Tomahawk Bang

At the age of thirteen, Tomahawk Bang immersed himself in hip-hop culture, transforming into a hybrid of native customs and break beats. Bboying (break dance) played a major role in his development as an artist, exposing him to avenues of self-expression he had not encountered before. In the late 90’s, house music caught the ears of Tomahawk Bang and members of his famed dance collective “Sour Patch Crew.” House music opened the door for a new type of expression in movement. After years of chasing the best house music experiences within and outside the United States, attending events as a dancer was no longer enough. By 2010 Tomahawk Bang was working on the turntables, conceiving a sound all his own.

Although his heart lies with DJing, Tomahawk Bang values music production as a vital parallel to his DJ career. As a DJ, Tomahawk Bang delves deep into the grimy cellars of underground Detroit Techno, Deep House, and Dub Tech, integrating world sounds, indigenous instruments, vintage audio samples, and all that is sonically intricate. A DJ set by Tomahawk Bang is a voyage to far off places, a one-way ticket to all the “strange” that the universe has to offer. As a producer, Tomahawk Bang gravitates towards complex instrumentals and experimental soundscapes. With over fifteen years of experience as a dancer, he creates music with the goal of movement in mind. Each song embodies a narrative, tracing his bloodlines back to the sacred days of the natural world. His music is the intersect point between our digital future, and his ancestral past.

In 2014, Tomahawk Bang released his first single “Spirit in the Water” to the bay area’s Catch the Ghost records. Closely behind were two more single releases with CTG: “Dark Emergence” and “False Pretenses,” records that exemplified Tomahawk’s momentum and growth as an electronic artist. His first EP “Spirit in the Mountain” released to Paris electronic music label BeatXChangers on May 4, 2015 and caught a wave of attention from the house music community. Amidst his accomplishments and personal aspirations in music are his plans to wholly represent the Native American community, using the “Himdag” he has cultivated to inspire the next generation of indigenous peoples to follow their passions, and express their creative talents on a larger scale.

You can now purchase Tomahawk Bang’s debut ARCo. release, The Sacrifice on iTunes.
