Established in Leeds, UK, in 2012, this powerhouse Rhodes-piano-led fusion-funk trio features Dan ‘JD73’ Goldman on Rhodes and synths, Hamlet Luton on bass, and Gordon Kilroy on drums.

Between them, Dan, Hamlet, and Gordon have worked with a veritable who’s-who of funk, soul and electronic artists including Nightmares On Wax, Morcheeba, Peven Everett, Tito Jackson, Leon Ware, Nate James, Pee Wee Ellis, Natasha Watts, Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds) and The Haggis Horns (to name a few!)

The band has also supported artists/bands including Alice Russell, Cymande, and José James and wowed crowds at prestigious venues/nights including Ronnie Scotts, Jazz Re:freshed and Manchester, Gateshead, Cambridge, and London Jazz festivals.

Playing adventurous and hard-hitting original compositions, the band is heavily influenced by legendary funk-fusion artists of the ’70s, including Herbie Hancock and The Headhunters, Bob James, George Duke, Patrice Rushen, Jeff Lorber, Brian Auger, and Chick Corea but with their own unique twist!.

THE RAH BAND’S CLASSIC TRACKS REMASTERED FOR A NEW GENERATION!

The RAH Band, AKA Richard Anthony Hewson, is a name that has been synonymous with disco-infused jazz funk for nearly five decades.  From “The Orchestrah”, through the popular “Mystery”, to his remix releases in the noughties, The RAH Band has been a respected and cultured producer across many genres.  Now a selection of tracks from this impressive back-catalogue have been curated and lovingly remastered from the original tapes for release to a new generation.



A self-confessed “jazz-head”, multi-instrumentalist The RAH Band has worked with luminaries such as Herbie Hancock and members of The Count Basie Orchestra.  Citing influences such as multiple Grammy Award-winning producer and artist Ramsey Lewis, The RAH Band’s musical styles encompass jazz, jazz-funk, pop and disco, fusing these together to create an ear-pleasing and genre-spanning catalogue that has consistently engaged and entertained fans since the mid-1970s.



Renowned not only for his high-quality musical output, but also for the esteem in which artists hold his production abilities, The RAH Band has arranged tracks for acts as world-famous as The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and Diana Ross.



Now, five years after the release of his remix EP of “Perfumed Garden”, friend and fan Martin “Atjazz” Iveson is proud to welcome back this mainstay of the music scene to his label and Atjazz Record Company is ready to spring this incredible collection of classics on the public.

A brand new Jazz cross-over project from two British legends who need little introduction. KEV BEADLE & RONNIE TURNER bring us a wonderful piece entitled TIME FLIGHT. A brilliant combination of Jazz and Dance where the balance is set perfectly.

Infectious and fidgety Jazz rhythms meet a modern house music flow and these two styles combined carry the rolling bass and choppy chords from beginning to end with grace. Ronnie also offers up his own 4 TO THE FLOOR remix which nudges the original over into the realm of house but retains a very powerful high Jazz energy.

THE JAMES L’ESTRAUNGE ORCHESTRA craft yet another masterpiece with their exciting rendition. A massive sonic drives throughout this remix with their trademark polished finish, a classic in the making as they let their story unfold.

TOM FINN thickens things up with his slick remix, this is definitely aimed at the dance-floor, a rich Kick drum holds things down for the glorious humming keys and floating musical details to drift over effortlessly.
